Ross Taggart

Ross Taggart, Managing Director

Ross Taggart is one of the Hunter’s most experienced business Accountants.

He is a highly respected business manager and has assisted his clients reach sound and achievable goals. He specialises in assessing new business and preparing sustainable strategies for those businesses.

Ross joined public practice in 1979 and was admitted as a partner of Taggart Partners in July 1985. He was appointed Managing Partner of the firm in 2000 after the full time retirement of his father Allan. With the support of the senior management team, Taggart Partners is now positioned as one of the region’s foremost business accounting firms.

He is a mentor and educator. He is personally committed to the provision of teaching support for the CPA Australia’s continuing professional development activities, training courses and events. In August 2008 he was appointed to the CPA NSW Public Practice Committee.

Ross is also a Director of Hunter Business Chamber and is highly regarded in the community. With his family and Taggart Partners he supports a range of community and sporting organisations and activities around the region.

Melanie Hamilton

Melanie Hamilton, Associate - Corporate Services

She joined Taggarts in January 2000 after completing her Commerce degree at the University of Newcastle.

She specialises in taxation and accounting for small business and works with a diverse range of clients throughout the Hunter and beyond.

In her role as Associate she overseas practice workflow, systems and staff. Melanie has been integral in developing a range of internal procedures that have provided new efficiencies for clients and staff.

Melanie with a group of lcoal business women established a network for like-minded Hunter busienss people, genXwomen, and is the organisation's founding President.

Cameron Tink

Cameron Tink, Associate - Operations

Cameron is a Client Services Manager and Senior Accountant with Taggart Partners.

He joined Taggart Partners in 2002 after working at leading accounting firms in Newcastle.

He specialises in the preparation of sole trader, partnership, company, Trust and superannuation financial accounts and Income Tax returns. He is a highly skilled practitioner in the areas of BAS returns, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
 

Accountants

Peter Cooper

Peter Cooper, Senior Accountant

Peter began his accounting career in May 1967 as a junior accountant with Taggart Partners. Since that time he has worked with many clients providing specialised taxation, auditing and general accounting work. Peter is an ASA and CPA. He is a Deacon with Cardiff Baptist Church, enjoys 10 pin bowling, football and cricket.

Cathy Campbell

Cathy Campbell, Accountant

Cathy was employed by Alan Taggart in 1967 in the Partnership practice located at Boolaroo. Since that time Cathy had some time off to start a family, but has remained a familiar and trusted face within the Taggart team. She is highly experienced in accounting and taxation. Cathy is now a grandmother to three and spends her spare time with husband travelling, enjoying their hotrod cars and rockabilly dancing.

Work highlight: When I feel I’ve got the job done and achieved a good result for our clients.
Loving: Just being part of it – in the right place at the right time.
Loathing: All the bad news every night on TV, global warming concern, terrorism fears.

Natasha Josevski

Natasha Josevski, Trainee Accountant

Natasha joined Taggart partners in October 2000 as an administration clerk and earlier in 2007 was thrilled to be appointed a Training Accountant. In this role she prepares accounts, tax returns, BAS and Banklink. A Novocastrian she enjoys going to the movies, gym, reading and of course the beach.

Account Support

Kylie Diehm

Kylie Diehm, Accounting Support

Kylie’s role involves supporting the accountants with a variety of jobs such as liaising with the  ATO and putting together final packages for clients. Originally from Queensland, Kylie supports the Brisbane Broncos and currently studies Financial Services at TAFE.

Work Highlight: Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge with her work colleagues, being excited to be part of an organisation that was prepared to set and reach goals and then share the rewards.
Loving: Robbie Williams, and the way that people all over the world are banding together to
achieve common goals.
 

Administration

Amber Mungoven

Amber Mungoven, Receptionist

Amber is the face and voice of Taggart Partners Broadmeadow. She joined the firm in 1991 as receptionist and since that time has been in contact with many of the firm’s clients. Amber has a Diploma in Administration from Power Business College.

Loving: I know that I am extremely happy & content in my world right now.
Work highlight: Organising and celebrating 50 years of business with our clients.
Best pastime: Being outdoors on summer days, dancing and eating Thai food

Julie Keevers

Julie Keevers, Finance Officer

Julie is responsible for debtors and creditors, payroll, bank transfers and the company’s bookkeeping. She joined Taggart Partners in February 2002 with a Certificate IV Accounting. Julie has two small children and is an active member of the Fund Raising Committee for Lakeside Gymnastics.

Work highlight: When the team travelled to Sydney to walk the Bridge as a team reward.
Loving: The public awareness of the environment that we live in and how to preserve it for future generations.
Loathing: The lack of consideration given to our fellow citizens.
